6. Persian

As far as cute cat breeds go, many think of the Persian as the prototypical cute, fluffy, white cat. Calm and docile, they like to play but love to relax, be petted and cuddle up with their humans. These beautiful cats have long, luxurious fur that does require some extra grooming, and a shorter nose that means you’ll need to watch out for any respiratory issues.

7. Ragdoll

10. Russian Blue

11. Exotic Shorthair

Exotic Shorthair is said to be the cat breed comes from the breeding between Persian and other cat breeds like American Shorthair.

The Exotic Shorthair is often called as The Lazy Man’s Persian (though not sure why it has that name). However, it is not a lazy cat breed despite its calm and gentle characteristic just like Persian cats. It prefers to hang out with people and play. Also, it mostly communicates via its eyes and expressions, and we can rarely hear its soft voice.

It doesn’t require extremely attentive care, rather, it is quite easy-going and can be able to play on its own (with decent toys like mouse of course).

Exotic Shorthair’s lifespan is around 8 to 15 years. It can weigh from 7 to 12 pounds.

12. Siberian

Siberian originated from the land of Siberia, which is also the reason why it has long and thick fur. In addition, it is like Russia’s national treasure since we can find many stories, folktales, and fairy tales involving these furry guys.

It seems living in cold environment gives these Siberian cats a tendency to love and stick with people. They like to be with owners, and share the time with owners’ work. They are extremely caring, especially when the owner gets sick, they will come and comfort their owner. Being calm and gentle doesn’t mean they are inactive neither. They are quite playful and they are ready for any cat games such as fetch.

Some people said that Siberian cats seem to like playing with water, so it can be quite common if we see them splashing water in the bath tub, or messing with puddles.

Exotic Shorthair’s lifespan is around 11 to 15 years. It can weigh from 8 to 17 pounds and even more.
